Description: Become a CERTIFIED YOGA TEACHER without taking time off from work

October 11, 2011 - June 5, 2012 at Be In Awe -- the Cottage on Broadway

Class Times:
- Mostly Tuesday evenings: 6:30 - 9:30pm
- One weekend per month: Fri 6:30- 9:30pm; Sat 9- 6pm; Sun 12:30 - 8pm
    
You will learn, practice and experience:
- Successful yoga teaching practices
- The history and philosophy behind yoga
- Yoga teaching techniques to keep your students motivated
- Teaching and practicing warm-ups, sun salutations and yoga asanas, Sanskrit names and benefits
- The physiology of breathing and how to teach pranayama
- Physiology of relaxation and meditation and how to teach both
- Anatomy of movement as it relates to hatha yoga postures
- The yoga of sound -- chanting mantra and kirtan
- The witness consciousness, loyal friend and effortless
- Being -- developing life enhancing skills; learning to facilitate in others

Graduation will take place June, 2012; You will receive a Be in Awe Yoga Teachers' Certificate, recognized by Yoga Alliance -- RYT-200, qualifying you to teach yoga to your own students, teach for other organizations and be covered by vocational insurance packages, while deepening your own practice
